ANMAT bans Clean On surface disinfectant in Argentina

Argentina's National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) has prohibited the use, sale, and distribution of Clean On brand surface disinfectants throughout the country. The decision, formalized via Disposition 5730/2026, follows the detection of several irregularities regarding product identification and registration.

Investigations revealed that the products lacked essential information, including batch numbers, manufacturing dates, expiration dates, and recommended usage doses. Furthermore, the disinfectant was found to have unauthorized labeling, including a second label featuring microorganism graphics that did not match official records.

ANMAT classified the products as illegitimate because the manufacturing firm was not listed as the product owner, and the items were not registered with the agency. Due to the inability to guarantee the quality, safety, and efficacy of these disinfectants, the agency implemented these precautionary measures to prevent potential risks to consumers.
