ANMI celebrates centenary in Vasto and Treviso

Various sections of the Associazione Nazionale Marinai d’Italia (ANMI) are celebrating their centennial anniversaries with public events and ceremonies across Italy.

In Vasto, the local section has launched a program of events to mark 100 years since its registration in the Unione Marinara Italiana on January 8, 1926. The celebrations are scheduled for September, coinciding with the city's patronal feast. Local officials and association leaders presented the calendar, emphasizing the group's moral heritage and historical contribution to the community.

In Treviso, the Trevigiana section of the association marked its first century with a regional gathering. The festivities included a parade through the historic center and a ceremony in Piazza dei Signori, where the group was awarded a commemorative medal for its 100 years of activity. The event also featured a mobile information center from the Marina Militare to promote maritime culture.
