Anna Diamantopoulou visits Karystos to discuss public health
Anna Diamantopoulou, a member of the PASOK – Movement for Change Political Council, visited Karystos on Thursday, October 22. The visit was part of the movement's political outreach efforts and included several officials, such as Organizational Planning Secretary Irasklis Droulias, Euboea MP Katerina Kazani, and scholar Maria Kiouki. GIorgos Moulkiotis, the MP for Boeotia, also joined the visit to the Karystos Hospital.
The visit focused on the political priority of strengthening the National Health System to ensure security for all citizens regardless of location or economic status. Key requirements discussed included adequate staffing, modern equipment, and support for healthcare workers, particularly in areas with accessibility challenges.
Additionally, the delegation addressed the need for integrated planning in Southern Euboea to connect infrastructure and public services with local production, tourism, and environmental protection. The goal is to translate development into improved living conditions, support for small businesses, and opportunities for young people to remain in the region.
