Anna Faris discusses challenging her religious teenage son

Actress Anna Faris has shared details regarding her relationship with her 14-year-old son, Jack, specifically concerning his developing religious beliefs. During an appearance on Chelsea Handler’s podcast, “Dear Chelsea,” Faris revealed that Jack, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Pratt, has become religious and has asked her to “accept Jesus Christ” as her savior.

Faris, who noted she did not grow up with religion, described her approach to parenting a religious teenager as one of active dialogue and challenge. She stated that she attempts to provoke thought by questioning his views on topics such as pro-life politics and the conduct of “mega pastors.”

Describing her son as “solid as a tugboat, emotionally,” Faris expressed appreciation for his ability to handle these intense conversations and his growing ability to recognize hypocrisy within religious structures. The actress noted that while they do not always agree, she values the productive and long discussions they share.
