Anna Fleischhauer Begins Maternity Leave from RTL Aktuell

German sports presenter Anna Fleischhauer, 39, announced on July 24 that she is stepping away from her role on RTL Aktuell for a maternity break. The RTL moderator revealed she is expecting her second child, a fact first made public in April, and will be absent from the studio for an extended period.

Fleischhauer, who has presented sports segments for RTL since summer 2021 and now co‑hosts with Christopher Wittich, said she looks forward to returning after her parental leave. She will continue to post on Instagram, promising updates with “less makeup, flat shoes and a missing shoelace.” Her first son was born at the end of 2022.
