Anna Livathinou prioritizes news accuracy over speed

Journalist Anna Livathinou discussed her professional journey and the ethical challenges of modern news reporting in an interview with Polixeni Karamiha for Real Life. Livathinou, who participates in the ANT1 program ‘Kalokeri mazi’, emphasized the importance of accuracy over speed.

She noted that while there is significant pressure to be the first to report a story, she prioritizes the verification of information to maintain credibility. Livathinou stated, “I prefer to delay a news item a little rather than transmit something that I have not confirmed and could prove to be wrong.”
