Greek tax authorities investigate Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas

The Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has launched tax investigations involving prominent musical figures Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas.

Investigators reportedly visited Karvelas at his home to serve documents regarding alleged tax irregularities and undeclared income totaling approximately 850,000 euros over four years. Karvelas has denied the allegations via a press release, stating that all his personal and corporate incomes are fully declared and that he is cooperating with the authorities.

The probe also extends to Anna Vissi, focusing on the financial management of her large-scale concerts, including performances at the Panathenaic Stadium and her European tour. Authorities are examining VAT compliance, ticket revenues, and transactions involving companies in Cyprus and the United Kingdom.

Vissi’s representatives have issued a categorical denial of any wrongdoing, describing the audits as a routine procedure for major events and asserting that all tax obligations have been met in full.
