Anna Vissi recalls musical collaboration with producer Patrick Leonard

Greek singer Anna Vissi recently engaged in a social media exchange with American composer and producer Patrick Leonard. The interaction was prompted by a fan page posting photos from Vissi’s 2008 album, ‘Aproverimeno’ (Forbidden).

Leonard, renowned for his work with Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Leonard Cohen, expressed his admiration for Vissi and his pride in having contributed to her work. Vissi responded personally, noting that the musical connection occurred during one of the most vulnerable periods of her life. She expressed her hope that he remains as creative as he was during their time working together.

The 2008 album marked a significant shift in Vissi’s career, as it was her first full-length project in 28 years produced without the involvement of Nikos Karvelas. Recorded in Los Angeles, the album featured international collaborators including Leonard, Glenn Ballard, and Greg Ladanyi.
