Annalisa Minetti wins 1998 Sanremo Music Festival

The 1998 Sanremo Music Festival concluded on February 28 at the Teatro Ariston. Annalisa Minetti secured victory with the song ‘Senza te o con te’. This edition was notable as the only time in the festival's history that a single artist won both the ‘Campioni’ (Champions) and ‘Nuove Proposte’ (Newcomers) categories.

In the final standings, Antonella Ruggiero placed second with ‘Amore lontanissimo’, followed by Lisa in third place with ‘Sempre’. The 1998 edition featured a unique format where the top three performers from the Newcomers category qualified directly for the Saturday night Champions final.
