Brazil national holidays for November 2026

Brazil will observe three national holidays in November 2026: All Souls' Day (Dia de Finados), Proclamation of the Republic, and Black Awareness Day (Dia Nacional de Zumbi e da Consciência Negra).

All Souls' Day falls on Monday, November 2, which allows for a three-day weekend for those who do not work Saturdays and Sundays. The Proclamation of the Republic occurs on Sunday, November 15, meaning it does not provide an additional day of rest for standard weekend workers. Black Awareness Day, a national holiday since the 2023 approval of Law No. 14.759, falls on Friday, November 20, offering another opportunity for a long weekend.

Labor rules regarding these dates vary by sector. In the private sector, working on these holidays may entitle employees to double pay or compensatory time off, depending on collective bargaining agreements and specific professional regulations.
