Anne Frank Library in Copparo reopens with partial access
The Anne Frank municipal library in Copparo is undergoing a partial reopening following unforeseen complications at its construction site. Due to ongoing work on the Biblioteca – Torre Estense and Ex Botteghe complex, the facility is implementing specific operational changes to ensure service continuity.
From Tuesday, August 25, to Friday, August 28, users may only access the ground floor during standard hours. While books on the ground floor are available for immediate pickup, items located on upper floors will require a one-day waiting period for retrieval.
The restrictions stem from construction activities involving the replacement of a glass frame between the Torre Estense and the stairwell. During the removal of the old frame, workers discovered unexpected masonry anchoring that caused localized damage, necessitating wall repairs. The resulting dust and debris in the stairwell prevent safe access to the upper levels.
A full closure of the library may be required starting Monday, August 31, to facilitate the installation of an entrance vestibule.
