Anne Hathaway credits Lionel Messi for helping her son make a friend

During the promotion of her new film, Verity, actress Anne Hathaway shared a personal anecdote regarding how Argentine footballer Lionel Messi helped her son form a new friendship.

Hathaway explained that her son and another child were initially too shy to interact. To break the ice, she asked the other child if they liked Messi. Upon discovering they both shared an admiration for the footballer, the two children immediately began talking and became best friends.
