Anne Yarısı television series premieres on NOW

The new television series ‘Anne Yarısı’, produced by NTC Medya and broadcasting on NOW, has premiered with a focus on complex family dynamics and secrets. The plot centers on Ege Altay, a child portrayed by Melisa Duru Ünal, who has been raised by her aunt Zeynep following the death of her mother, Zeren. The central conflict arises when Ege’s father, Ali, played by Cihangir Ceyhan, emerges after eight years in prison.

The production features a prominent cast including Burcu Özberk and Esra Dermancıoğlu. Filming for the series has taken place across several Turkish locations to capture different atmospheres, including İzmir, Cappadocia, and Istanbul. While İzmir and Cappadocia provided the backdrop for historical and dramatic sequences, Istanbul serves as the setting for the characters' contemporary urban struggles.
