Annecy Animation Festival 2026 drives major studio project reveals
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival in southeastern France featured a strong presence of U.S. studios and streaming platforms, who used the event to unveil a slate of new animated projects. Prime Video announced a "Conan the Barbarian" series by Genndy Tartakovsky, while Warner Bros. presented four DC‑related series—including a Joker anime, a kids’ "Krypto" show, an "Absolute Batman" reinterpretation and a "Mister Miracle" series—plus an "Adventure Time" spinoff and plans for a "Powerpuff Girls" feature film.
