The family sought transfer to another facility for alternative treatment. After 35 hospitals declined, the Camps moved Annelise to a hospital in Louisiana. Texas Right to Life and Attorney General Ken Paxton publicly backed the family’s effort. In early August, life‑support equipment was removed, and Annelise died. A church service is scheduled in Houston for the following Wednesday.
