AnnenMayKantereit draws 11,000 fans at Füssen open‑air concert
German rock band AnnenMayKantereit performed to a sold‑out crowd of about 11,000 people at the Königswinkel Open Air in Füssen’s Barockgarten, near the Neuschwanstein Festival Hall. The concert was part of the band's ongoing tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, following previous shows that have also sold out. Lead vocalist Henning May’s deep, gravelly voice and the band’s hits such as “Barfuß am Klavier” and “3 Tage am Meer” energized the audience under the night sky over the Forggensee.
Formed in Cologne in 2011, AnnenMayKantereit consists of vocalist Henning May, guitarist Christopher Annen, drummer Severin Kantereit and bassist Sophie Chassée. The group blends indie rock, folk, blues and soul, and has achieved gold and platinum status in Germany. Their YouTube videos have amassed over 1.4 billion views and their songs attract millions of monthly listeners on Spotify. The band’s net worth is estimated at around US$5 million.
