Annet de Haan wins 50th Frouljus PC women's kaatsen tournament

Annet de Haan, Gerde Lycklama à Nijeholt, and Jennie Terpstra won the 50th edition of the Frouljus PC, a major women's kaatsen (Frisian handball) tournament held in Weidum.

The winning team defeated Anna Ennema, Iris Oosterbaan, and Fiera de Vries in the final with scores of 5-3 and 6-0. The tournament featured twelve teams and saw several upsets, including the elimination of the favorites, the team of Louise Krol, Jeska Terpstra, and Sjanet Wijnia, by Larissa Smink, Corrie Kroondijk, and Senne Idsardi.

In addition to the sporting competition, the event included a tribute to referee Jenco Sieperda, who is retiring at the end of the season. Police intervention was also required during the final to remove a man who was detained for disturbing public order.
