Global corporations report H1 2026 earnings and strategic acquisitions
Various companies have reported significant financial developments and strategic moves. Vossloh AG has finalized its acquisition of Cordel, a LiDAR specialist, for approximately £29 million (€33 million) to enhance its digital railway inspection capabilities through AI-driven 3D scanning.
In the financial services sector, Switzerland’s VZ Gruppe reported a 17.7 percent increase in net profit to 131.9 million francs for the first half of 2026, driven by high demand for advisory services and net new money inflows of 3.3 billion francs. The group also completed the acquisition of the UK-based Lumin Group.
Germany’s Wüstenrot & Württembergische (W&W) Group reported an IFRS group result of 105 million euros for the first half of 2026, up from 91 million euros in the previous year.
