Anni B Sweet releases new album Alegría

Spanish artist Anni B Sweet has released her fifth studio album, titled ‘Alegría’. This release marks her return to music after a seven-year hiatus following her previous work, ‘Universo por estrenar’.

The album is described as a cathartic and restorative project, serving as a mental and physical reset for the artist after a difficult period. Musically, the work blends psychedelic pop, retro-futurism, and melodic influences from the 1960s and 1970s. It draws inspiration from Brazilian music, tropicalia, and various pop styles, aiming to capture a sense of warmth and movement even when addressing complex themes.

Produced by James Bagshaw of the band Temples, the album features collaborations with Santiago Auserón on the track ‘Everything’s fine’ and the band Tulsa on ‘In my oblivion’. The project is released under the Subterfuge Records label.
