Collegiate golf tournaments see early leaders in multiple regional events
Various collegiate golf tournaments are underway across the United States, featuring significant performances from several university teams.
In the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate, the Elon men's team took an early lead with a 12-under-par 276. Coastal Carolina later moved into first place following the second round with a team score of 19-under 557, led by Jack Lee's 10-under individual performance.
The Golfweek Fall Challenge at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club features diverse results. Drew Williams of UT Martin leads the field after a 6-under 66. The Campbell women's team recorded a 6-under 278, their best round in four years, while UNC Asheville's Breanna Hoese shot a 2-under 69 to lead the Bulldogs.
At the ANNIKA Intercollegiate in Minnesota, the women's field includes high-ranking programs such as South Carolina, North Carolina, and the University of Houston. South Carolina enters the season with a strong history at the event, having won it four times, while the Houston Cougars begin a new era under head coach Rachel Pollock.
