ANOFM places over 11,000 job seekers into work in Moldova

Since the start of 2026, Moldova’s National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) has helped more than 11,000 people secure jobs, meeting 11 % of its target of 100,000 placements by 2030. Of those hired, 3,417 were previously registered as unemployed (31.1 %). Women accounted for 4,537 placements, 2,079 beneficiaries were aged 55 or older, and 190 persons had disabilities.

The majority of new hires – 38.8 % – entered collective, social and personal services, followed by agriculture (14.9 %), wholesale and retail trade (14.2 %), industry (8.1 %), construction (5.6 %) and public administration (5.2 %). Smaller shares went to health and social care, education, and transport‑communication sectors. The government aims to place 100,000 people on the labour market by 2030, with a focus on youth, women and vulnerable groups.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has launched a “Connecting people with opportunities” campaign, targeting 25,000 additional placements for Moldovan job‑seekers in the current year, alongside the broader goal of 100,000 placements over the next four years.
