ANONIMUL Film Festival returns to Sfântu Gheorghe this August

The ANONIMUL Film Festival is scheduled to take place from August 10 to August 16 in Sfântu Gheorghe. The event features a diverse lineup of independent films, including Romanian premieres of notable titles such as ‘Gentle Monster’ by Marie Kreutzer and ‘The Beloved’ by Rodrigo Sorogoyen.

The festival includes several competitive sections: two short film competitions (Romanian and international) and a feature film competition. Public voting will determine the winners of the ANONIMUL Trophy, valued at 3,000 euros, as well as prizes for the best Romanian and international short films. Additionally, the ANONIMUL Foundation will award the ‘Ovidiu Bose Paștină’ prize.

Beyond film screenings, the festival offers workshops, concerts, and discussions on topics such as social responsibility. Screenings will be held at the camping cinema and within the halls of Green Village. The program also highlights Romanian cinema with a dedicated evening for Radu Jude’s ‘Jurnalul unei cameriste’ and various other domestic titles in the Romanian OFF Section.
