Anonymous donor pays 600,000 KRW meal for welfare center group in Incheon

An anonymous donor paid approximately 600,000 KRW to cover the meal costs for 27 people, including individuals with disabilities and staff from the Jemulpo-gu Hanmaeum General Welfare Center, in Incheon, South Korea.

During a city tour on October 15, the group visited a large meat restaurant in the Seohae district. While volunteers were attending to the group, an unidentified customer secretly paid the full bill, which included an additional order of seven servings of beef tartare. The donor left without providing contact information, though a volunteer noted they heard the individual had previously lived in Hawaii, USA.

The act of kindness prompted further generosity from the restaurant owner, who gifted a bottle of wine to the group in appreciation of the donor's gesture. The restaurant had also previously agreed to provide a discount for the welfare center's group reservation.
