Anorthosis CEO Rafail Demetriou resigns

Rafail Demetriou has submitted his resignation as CEO of the Anorthosis Famagusta football club.

Demetriou, who previously served as General Director from 2022 to 2024 and later as Vice President before stepping into the CEO role in January 2025, stated that his decision came after mature reflection. In his announcement, he highlighted the challenges faced by the club over the last two years, noting his efforts to manage debt settlements with former players and the reorganization of the financial department to ensure the club's survival.

He expressed gratitude to the board of Kyriakos Prastitis for their trust and recalled the community's support in repaying the ‘Antonis Papadopoulos’ loan as a significant moment in the club's history.
