Anouar Ait El Hadj remains at Union Saint-Gilloise after failed transfer
Anouar Ait El Hadj will remain with Union Saint-Gilloise following the collapse of a planned transfer to the Houston Dynamo. Although an agreement had been reached with the American club, the deal ultimately fell through before the transfer window closed.
Union Saint-Gilloise coach David Hubert has signaled a shift in stance regarding the 24-year-old midfielder. While the club was previously willing to facilitate a move, Hubert stated that Ait El Hadj is now considered part of his 22-man squad. However, the player faces increased competition for offensive positions following the summer signings of Darius Olaru, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Dylan Aquino.
Hubert noted that Ait El Hadj must earn his place back through training and performance, adding that the club will reassess his situation in January.
