ANP and Procon de Parauapebas partner for fuel market inspections

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has signed a technical and operational cooperation agreement with the Municipal Procon of Parauapebas, Pará. The partnership aims to intensify the inspection of economic agents involved in the transport, resale, and commercialization of petroleum derivatives and biofuels.

The agreement includes joint actions to repress legal violations, fuel price collection from resellers, and educational initiatives regarding ANP regulations. Additionally, the cooperation involves georeferencing economic agents to update company registries and improve the reliability of sector data, which will assist in supply security and inspection planning.

Under the terms, Procon de Parauapebas is authorized to conduct inspections on behalf of the ANP using personnel trained by the agency. The agreement does not involve the transfer of financial resources and is set for a duration of 60 months, with the possibility of extension.
