ANPAS celebrates National Public Assistance Day in Marche
Saturday, October 24, marks the National Day of Public Assistance (ANPAS). In the Marche region of Italy, the event honors the work of 4,396 volunteers and 11,938 members across 43 regional associations, including the Croci Gialle, Croci Verdi, Croci Bianche, Croci Azzurre, and Pubbliche Assistenze Avis.
To commemorate the day, official ANPAS flags will be displayed at association headquarters and municipal buildings throughout the territory. Additionally, various monuments and symbolic locations across the region will be illuminated in orange, the identifying color of the volunteers' uniforms.
Andrea Sbaffo, President of ANPAS Marche, stated that the day serves to recognize the invaluable service provided to the population, including 118 emergency medical interventions and sanitary transport. The celebration highlights the organization's 120-year history of promoting social cohesion and collective well-being.
