ANPd’I conducts technical training and commemorative events

The National Association of Italian Paratroopers (ANPd’I) recently conducted several activities focused on training and commemoration. At the Parachuting Training Center (CAPAR) in Pisa, twelve instructors and launch directors completed a technical-doctrinal update module from October 7 to 9, 2026.

This training focused on the introduction of the new EPC (Ensemble de Parachutage du Combattant) parachute, the standardization of safety procedures, and the consolidation of instructor skills in alignment with the standards of the Folgore Paratroopers Brigade. The program included theoretical lessons and practical exercises involving flight emergency management and various launch procedures.

In Bolotana, Nuoro, the local ANPd’I section organized a Paratrooper Day to bring together members from across Sardinia. The event included a memorial ceremony to honor the paratroopers who lost their lives in the Meloria tragedy on November 9, 1971. Local officials and military representatives attended the ceremony, which also included the recognition of Luisella Caria as an honorary member of the association.
