ANPE union requests inclusion of Early Childhood Education support staff in Castilla-La Mancha

The teachers' union ANPE has formally requested that the Castilla-La Mancha Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports convene a sectoral negotiation table. The goal is to incorporate Early Childhood Education support teachers into the legal staffing frameworks of schools with two lines of instruction.

This request stems from a previously signed Improvement Agreement, which stipulates that schools with six Early Childhood units should be assigned an additional support teacher, bringing the total to seven teachers for that educational stage. ANPE emphasizes that these positions must be explicitly included in the annual staffing instructions published every January to ensure they are effectively and stably implemented by the 2027-2028 academic year.

The union describes this measure as a historical demand that will improve public education quality through better individualized attention and early detection of learning difficulties. Additionally, the union notes that creating these positions will benefit public employment by allowing the roles to be offered through general transfer competitions and future civil service examinations.
