Anápolis reports 20.70% growth in ITBI tax revenue
The City of Anápolis reported a 20.70% increase in revenue from the Property Transfer Tax (ITBI) during the first four months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, totaling approximately R$ 15.6 million.
In contrast, municipal fee revenue saw a decline of 42.22%, dropping to R$ 19.9 million from R$ 39.2 million the previous year. This decrease is attributed to a change in the collection system for the Urban Services Tax (TSU), which was moved from the property tax (IPTU) bill to the water bill, resulting in a longer installment plan of eight months instead of three.
Other revenue streams showed varied results: IPTU increased by 2.56% to R$ 99.3 million, ISS grew by 11.73% to R$ 59.5 million, and Withholding Income Tax (IRRF) rose by 6.08% to R$ 32.3 million. Overall, combined taxes and fees totaled R$ 226.7 million, a slight decrease of 2.60% from the R$ 232.8 million recorded in the first quadrimestre of 2025.
