Anritsu launches Wi-Fi 8 and Bluetooth LE testing options

Anritsu has introduced new RF characteristic evaluation software options for its MT8862A Wireless Connectivity Test Set. These updates allow for the simultaneous evaluation of the next-generation Wi-Fi 8 (IEEE 802.11bn) WLAN standard and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) on a single platform.

Wi-Fi 8 is expected to reach formal standardization by 2028, focusing on low-latency and highly reliable wireless communications. This technology is anticipated to support AI-enabled equipment, including physical AI systems like robots, as well as IoT devices, wearables, and smartphones.

The MT8862A platform supports a wide range of standards, including Wi-Fi 7 requirements such as 320MHz channel bandwidth and 4096-QAM, as well as all three Wi-Fi 6E frequency bands and legacy IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards.
