Ansan City holds info session for Hanyang University ERICA Gifted Education Center

Ansan City held an information session for the 2027 academic year Hanyang University ERICA Gifted Education Center. The session, held at the Hanyang University ERICA Convergence Education Hall, aimed to introduce the center's educational direction, specific curricula, and operational plans to students, parents, and interested citizens.

Professors specializing in basic sciences and robotics/AI presented their respective programs. The basic science curriculum focuses on inquiry-based learning through experiments in chemistry, physics, life sciences, earth sciences, and mathematics. The robotics and AI track emphasizes hands-on experience, including robot design, manufacturing, and programming.

Applications for the 2027 academic year will be accepted online via the Gifted Education Comprehensive Database (GED) from the 16th to the 25th. Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun noted that the establishment of the center provides a foundation for local students to receive specialized education in future-oriented fields.
