Ansar Allah attacks military training camp in Yemen
Ansar Allah (Houthi) forces launched missile strikes against government-aligned military targets in Yemen, resulting in significant casualties. On October 19, at least three ballistic missiles hit the Al-Alam training camp in Shabwah province, killing at least 53 people and wounding approximately 200 others. The camp is reportedly managed by Saudi Arabian officers.
Following the strike, Ansar Allah claimed responsibility, stating they targeted troop concentrations. The group issued warnings to local recruits against joining Saudi-backed forces and declared that military personnel from Pakistan, Egypt, and Ukraine stationed in Saudi-controlled areas are legitimate targets. They have signaled a policy of “escalation for escalation” in response to actions by Riyadh.
In a separate incident on October 21, Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree claimed a ballistic missile struck a Saudi-led coalition operations room at the Badr Camp near Aden. Local reports and security sources confirmed explosions and smoke rising near Aden Airport, marking the third such attack on the city within a single week.
