Anseong and Ansan cities receive Manifesto Promise Awards
Anseong and Ansan cities have been recognized at the ‘2026 Manifesto (Local Election Category) Promise Awards’ hosted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Foundation. The awards evaluate the specificity, feasibility, and level of resident participation in election pledges made during the 9th nationwide local elections.
Anseong City was praised for linking major projects from its previous administration to new pledges to ensure policy continuity and consistency. The city plans to expand citizen involvement by forming a pledge implementation evaluation group to monitor and assess progress. Mayor Kim Bo-ra stated the city remains committed to fulfilling its promises to citizens.
Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun also received an award in the election pledge category for high marks in goal clarity, priority setting, and democratic processes. Ansan City reported a 92.7% implementation rate for its previous 115 pledge projects and has previously received the highest ‘SA’ grade in national evaluations for pledge implementation and information disclosure.
