Anseong City launches home nursing center for elderly care

Anseong City has officially launched the ‘KNA Anseong-matchum Home Nursing Center’ to provide integrated medical and nursing care for elderly residents with mobility issues. Developed in cooperation with the Korean Nursing Association, the center aims to allow seniors to maintain their daily lives in their own homes rather than relying solely on hospitals or long-term care facilities.

The center has established a comprehensive home medical system through partnerships with the Anseong-si Medical Association, Oriental Medical Association, and Dental Association. Eligible recipients include those with long-term care grades, those exceeding monthly long-term care limits, and integrated care targets identified by doctors as needing visiting nursing.

Services provided by professional nurses include health status monitoring, wound and pressure sore treatment, medication guidance, disease management education, and oral care. Nurses will visit at least twice a month, with doctors providing monthly visits if necessary. To reduce the financial burden, Anseong City will fully support costs for certain integrated care targets, while other services are managed through the National Health Insurance Service.
