ANSES officializes 1.66% increase for Argentine pensions and benefits

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has officially announced an update to pensions, social benefits, and family allowances in Argentina, effective October 2026. Following Resolutions 283/2026 and 284/2026, all benefits will see a 1.66% increase, a figure derived from the August Consumer Price Index (IPC) reported by INDEC.

Key adjustments include the minimum pension, which will rise to $435,748.51, and the maximum pension, which will reach $2,932,174.85. The Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) is set at $348,598.81, while the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and Pregnancy Allowance will increase to $156,588. Additionally, the Basic Universal Benefit (PBU) will be $199,335.05.

The update also modifies the minimum and maximum taxable bases for social security contributions, set at $146,759.98 and $4,769,631.49, respectively. While the official increase is set, the government has not yet confirmed if the $70,000 extraordinary bonus for minimum pension recipients will be included in the October payments.
