Ansu Fati returns to AS Monaco squad for Ligue 1 match

Ansu Fati has been included in the AS Monaco squad for their Ligue 1 match against Toulouse, marking a potential return to official competition. The 23-year-old forward, who joined Monaco permanently from FC Barcelona this summer for 11 million euros, has struggled to secure playing time in official matches due to a calf injury sustained during the preseason.

To prevent more serious injury, Monaco manager Filipe Luis implemented a progressive recovery plan for the attacker. Fati recently gained match fitness during a friendly against Pisa on October 3, where he played the first half. Luis praised the player's abilities, noting he is “fantastic with the ball” and possesses the ability to create chances easily, though the coach emphasized the need to work on his positioning closer to the penalty area.

Fati's move to the Principality follows a successful loan spell where he scored 12 goals across Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
