Ant and Dec discover musical link between show theme and former pop songs

Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly discovered a musical similarity between the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' theme tune and their 1993 track 'Tonight I'm Free (Cool Mix)', released during their time as the pop duo PJ and Duncan.

During an episode of their 'Hanging Out With Ant & Dec' podcast, a listener pointed out the overlap. Upon hearing the drum breakdown in both tracks, the duo jokingly discussed suing one another.

The 'I'm A Celebrity' theme was composed by Grant Buckerfield in 2002. While the similarity was noted, reports indicate the theme may utilize samples from Earth, Wind & Fire’s 'Africano' and Boom Crash Opera’s 'Get Out Of The House!', which may account for the rhythmic resemblance.
