Ant Group launches Lingying AI OS as hardware makers debut new AI terminals
Ant Group has announced the upgrade of its GPASS intelligent terminal connection framework to ‘Lingying’, an Agent-native operating system and open platform designed for new AI terminals such as AI glasses, headphones, and smart rings. The platform aims to provide underlying capabilities for natural interaction, agent execution, multi-device coordination, and security. By abstracting hardware capabilities like sensors and displays, Lingying seeks to reduce the need for developers to perform repetitive adaptations across different chips and systems.
In a related development in the AI hardware sector, Colorful (COLORFIRE) showcased its new Lingchuang Mini Pro at an AMD media salon in Beijing. The Mini Pro is powered by the new AMD Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series processors and features up to 192GB of unified memory. This hardware is designed to support local large model inference, multimodal interaction, and lightweight agent deployment, addressing industry concerns regarding cloud computing costs and data security through localized processing.
