Ant Group releases Lingguang 2.0 AI assistant

Ant Group has officially launched Lingguang 2.0, an upgraded AI assistant designed to transition from a passive tool that responds to commands to an active agent capable of continuous task management. By utilizing independent cloud hosts, the assistant can perform long-term task scheduling and maintain cross-session memory, allowing it to continue running tasks even after a user exits a conversation.

With user authorization, Lingguang 2.0 can proactively identify needs, monitor information, and provide timely reminders. Its capabilities span various sectors, including managing Alipay consumption records to identify forgotten subscriptions, tracking flight or hotel price changes, and managing workflows across platforms like DingTalk, Feishu, and Mi Home. It also extends to personal life management, such as tracking pet care, vaccination schedules, and vehicle inspections.

To address security and privacy concerns, the assistant integrates with Ant APASS. This infrastructure manages identity authentication and intent security, using mechanisms like separating authorization keys from the agent to ensure tasks are executed within authorized boundaries without the agent directly accessing sensitive keys.
