ANT1 launches new period drama “Krinon kai Agkathi”

Greek broadcaster ANT1 has premiered the period series “Krinon kai Agkathi,” set in Arcadia in 1959. The story follows Markos Arvanitis, who returns from a 15‑year prison term and marries Lefki, a woman who hides a plan of vengeance for her brother’s death. The plot intertwines love, betrayal and long‑standing family feuds, questioning whether a relationship built on a lie can survive.

The series is based on the Turkish hit “Ask ve Mavi” and is directed by Andreas Morfonios. The main cast includes Giorgos Gerontidakis as Markos, Anastasia Pantousi as Lefki, with supporting roles for Stelios Mainas, Maria Zorba, Katerina Didascalou and Giannis Tzortekis. The trailer emphasizes the revenge motif with a hidden knife, highlighting the psychological tension that drives the drama.
