ANT1 launches period drama “Krinο kai Agkathi” set in 1959 Arcadia

Greek broadcaster ANT1 has premiered the historical series “Krinο kai Agkathi,” a drama set in Arcadia in 1959. The story follows Marcos Arvanitis, portrayed by Giorgos Gerontidakis, who returns home after fifteen years in prison, and Lefki, played by Anastasia Pantousi, who infiltrates his family to avenge her brother’s death.

The series intertwines a romance with a revenge plot, as Lefki’s letters become Marcos’s only hope while she secretly plans retribution. According to MyTV, the couple’s relationship “rests on a dangerous lie,” and the narrative explores whether love can survive when built on betrayal. Family secrets and long‑buried truths emerge, forcing both characters to confront the past.
