ANT1 launches new period drama “Krio & Agkathi”

Greek broadcaster ANT1 is preparing the period series “Krio & Agkathi”. The drama, set in Arcadia in 1959, follows a young woman trapped by her past and a man who returns after a fifteen‑year prison term carrying a heavy secret. Their families are linked by a history of bloodshed and silence, and a forbidden love unfolds amid lies and revenge.

The series is directed by Andreas Morfonios with a screenplay by Gianna Kanellopoulou. The ensemble cast includes Tasos Iordanidis, Dina Michailidou, Spiros Sarafianos, Orestis Tzovas, Maria Papafotiou, Dimitris Passas and others. Markos Arvanitis, portrayed by Giorgos Gerontidakis, returns after serving time for a murder that tore two families apart, while the character Lefki (Anastasia Pantousi) seeks vengeance against him.
