ANT1 launches new period drama “Kryno & Agkathi” with first backstage photos

Greek broadcaster ANT1 is set to debut the period drama series “Kryno & Agkathi” this autumn. The story unfolds in Arcadia in 1959 and follows a young woman seeking revenge for her brother’s murder by marrying the man she holds responsible, while a forbidden love threatens her plans. The series stars Anastasia Pantousi as the vengeful heroine, Giorgos Gerontidakis, Katérina Didaskálou, Giannis Tsortekis, Maria Zorba and a large supporting cast. Director Andreas Morfonios and writer Gianna Kanelopoulou helm the production, which is being promoted with the release of exclusive backstage photographs and a trailer showcasing the period costumes, sets and key scenes. The promotional material highlights the themes of love, betrayal, family secrets and the clash between past and present, positioning the series as a major new offering for ANT1’s fall schedule.
