Antalya Airport bans agency signage in new tourist welcome regulations
Effective from the night of 30 July, Antalya Airport introduced a five‑point rule that prohibits tourist‑welcome agencies from displaying name or logo signs. The new system groups agencies into nine numbered lines, assigns each a set of 54 guest names (six per agency), and installs 13 plexiglass blocks marked A‑M to direct visitors. Any agency using prohibited signage may be fined by airport authorities.
The changes were announced by the TÜRSAB Antalya Regional Representation Board, which later denied issuing a formal notice. The board said the measures aim to improve the image of Turkish tourism and Antalya, and that violations will be detected by security and TÜRSAB inspectors.
