Antalya car dealership arson: Four suspects detained

Police have detained four suspects in connection with an arson attack on a car dealership in the Kepez district of Antalya. The fire, which occurred on a Saturday night, caused significant damage to the dealership and three vehicles, with the owner estimating losses between 17 and 18 million lira. The flames also spread to the upper floors of an adjacent apartment building.

The dealership owner reported being threatened approximately six weeks prior by individuals using the code name ‘Robin Dalton,’ who demanded he ‘give the street its due.’

Following an investigation by the Antalya Police Intelligence and Robbery Bureaus, authorities identified the suspects: a 15-year-old accused of setting the fire, a 14-year-old who provided flammable materials, a 20-year-old organizer acting for the ‘Daltonlar’ crime group, and a 25-year-old planner known as ‘Robin.’

Coordinated operations involving police from Bursa and Istanbul led to the arrests of the 15-year-old and 14-year-old in Bursa, and the 20-year-old in Istanbul. During a search of a safe house in Istanbul, police seized an unlicensed handgun, a ballistic vest, a balaclava, and gloves. The individual identified as the planner, Y. C. G., is believed to be abroad, and efforts to locate them are ongoing.
