Antalya districts designated as protected archaeological sites

The Antalya Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board has designated several areas in the Finike, Manavgat, and Serik districts of Antalya as protected archaeological sites. These decisions, recorded in the 2026 registry of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, categorize the findings into 1st and 3rd degree archaeological sites.

In Manavgat, specifically within the Çardak and Yavrudoğan neighborhoods, forest lands containing archaeological traces have been classified as 1st degree archaeological sites. In Serik, an area in the Eskiyörük neighborhood containing ceramic fragments and surface finds has been designated as a 3rd degree site.

In Finike, the Kule Sırtı area in the Boldağ neighborhood was identified as containing workshops and architectural remains, leading to a 1st degree site designation. Surrounding areas with ceramic distributions were classified as 3rd degree sites. Authorities have been instructed to note these protections on land registry records and take measures to prevent illegal excavations.
