Antalya: Family escapes house fire and workers rescued from scaffolding

In Antalya’s Kepez district, a foreign family narrowly escaped a house fire in the Beşkonak neighborhood. The fire, which originated for unknown reasons, destroyed their rented home and all belongings. A mother managed to rescue her sleeping daughter from the flames before the fire spread rapidly due to the wooden roof.

In a separate incident in the same district, two workers, Sedat Y. and Bülent Ç., were rescued after being stranded on a suspended scaffold at the 10th-floor level. The accident occurred in the Yeşiltepe neighborhood when a supporting cable snapped during painting and repair work. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality firefighters used a ladder truck to safely bring both workers to the ground; no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, in Kocaeli’s Gölcük district, a barn fire resulted in the death of 34 animals, including sheep, chickens, and a dog. The owner, Yakup Karakaya, reported that the structure was rendered unusable and has requested assistance from authorities.
