Antalya Golden Orange Festival Awards Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, Leyla Cabas

The 63rd International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is scheduled for 24‑31 October 2026 in Antalya, Turkey. At the opening ceremony on 24 October, the festival presented its Young Achievement Awards to two emerging actors. Veteran stage and screen performer Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, born in Istanbul in 1994 and a graduate of Hacettepe University’s Ankara State Conservatory, was recognised for his work across theater, television and film, including previous honors such as the 2017 Afife Theatre Award for Best Young Artist and the 2022 Best Actor award at this festival. Sixteen‑year‑old Leyla Smyrna Cabas, born in Istanbul in 2010, received the award for her notable early performances in projects such as the film Fidan and her increasing presence in Turkish cinema.

Both awardees were highlighted for their contributions to the national cultural scene and their potential to shape the future of Turkish film and theatre. The festival, one of Turkey’s most established cinematic events, will showcase a slate of new films and performances throughout the week.
