Antalya Lisesi preserves 170 years of educational heritage

Antalya Lisesi, an educational institution with roots dating back to 1898, continues to operate within its historic buildings in Antalya, Turkey. Originally established by Sultan Abdulhamid II as the Liva Idadi, the school has transitioned through various names and locations, including its period as Antalya Sultanisi in 1916.

The school currently occupies two historic mansions built in the mid-1850s. To preserve its long history, an Education Museum has been established within the historic building. This museum displays significant artifacts, including official documents from the 1920s and 1930s and signed instructions from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

As a project school, Antalya Lisesi maintains its historical legacy while utilizing modern technology. The institution has produced numerous notable alumni, including academics, lawyers, artists, and medical professionals.
